🌊 Process Flows
A cool use for the Apple Freeform app

This is a project I've been working on for a bit. I think it's an essential piece for a smooth transition to the side line. When we hand off our kitchen roles down the line we want as little room for error as possible.
We have all our recipes in a different file. They are very important, but with them you need the order everything is done in. Free Form let me lay that out easily. You can zoom in and out with the flick of a finger. Getting from the big picture to the detail is much smoother than in a written document.
Each week we will update the quantities on our end and in the kitchen there will be an iPad where people can go into this file and see the quantities and flow of everything.
The best feature is you can embed videos. Anyone who uses this can read the written instructions, and if they don't get it right away they can pop into the video and see it. The combination of detail written instructions and video for confirmation should eliminate errors.
This screen shot shows at a high level what everything looks like. In the second screen you can see the detail (I'll explain the specifics down there 👇🏻)

Each "card" contains the item, approximate time, equipment and step by step directions, this week's quantities, and a demonstration video. This is all there, in one space. You can zip around the file and easily go in and out of videos.
I wonder what other kitchens are using. This seems extremely helpful. We have a supporting excel file that has all number calculations for inventory and purchasing and what not.
In this file we will create an item repository so each action will have it's own "card". So if were taking something out of this week's menu we will remove it from the flow, but we'll still have the card so we dont have to recreate it. This will make it easy to make adjustments
I apologize about the lack of structure to anyone who reads this. I rushed a bit writing it.
