🤔 What are We Thinking? Week 15, 2022 🧐
What do we think about on a weekly basis? Wellllll... it changes each every week, so that keeps it interesting, even worth a weekly blog post to me.

🤨 💭 Decisions, Decisions, Decisions
What do we think about on a weekly basis? Wellllll... it changes each every week, so that keeps it interesting, even worth a weekly blog post to me.
I love the idea that, in the future, I'll be able to see a years worth of thoughts. It'll illustrate, in detail, how the business has grown, and if anything big happens, it'll show the little things that lead up to that.
Kitchen

👶🏻 New this Week
🧑🏻🍳 Get the Kitchen Exhaust Vent Cleaned
Should be fun 😑. Why are we doing this? Since our commissary kitchen is our own it is our responsibility to get the exhaust vent cleaned every 6 months.
This is our first time having to do it since we started. We hope that finding someone to do it isn't too time consuming or expensive.
📋 Menu
Should we make online ordering available all the time? We want to and in the future we will need to, but we have some kinks to work out now.
We use Square POS and online and are having some issues with the correct inventory displaying on the online menu. This could lead to people ordering, something we are out of and not realizing until they come to pick up their order. I don't think this would be good for customer satisfaction haha.

🫘 Sides
What sides do most people want? Is it chips and guac? Chips and salsa? Beans? Rice? Rice and beans?
We're starting with chips and salsa, then we'll work in cilantro lime rice and black beans.
Chips and salsa has been requested more often than the other two, but the other two will be key components of future main menu items. (more on that in the future...hint: it rhymes with souls.)
We think we will also add fresh fruit and a dessert to the mix. We both have a passion for fresh fruit, it just makes you feel so good. We also have devilish sweet-tooth's. So, ya know... balance, as they say
Financial

👶🏻 New this Week
Integrating Bitcoin
We're always trying to think of more ways to do this.
What We Have
- As of now we just have a lightning QR code on our tip jar. (We've had it for 6 months and haven't gotten a tip from it yet, clearly still in the early adoption phase)
What we're thinking about
- BTCPay Server- We have one set up, but don't really transact online ever.
- Zaprite- A platform that allows you to send bitcoin and lightning invoices. We just don't think many parties that we transact with will be able/willing to pay a bitcoin invoice.
- Lightning Paywalls- In the future, we can picture this blog being an open source hubspot/forum for small businesses. We could have authors from all kinds of small business, each sharing what information they want.
- We'd have an open source community (Whatever the name of this blog is then), built on an open source platform (Ghost), and could use an open source money (Bitcoin) for everyone to get paid and pay others. Creators could charge what they deemed fair using lightning paywalls created by something like Pleb Pay

Marketing

👶🏻 New this Week
An Enormous Bow Tie
We're looking to get one made. We think it'd be good for guerrilla marketing. Right now we're trying to decide what it would be made out of and whether we could do it ourselves or have to outsource.
Also, enormous is pretty relative. What should the size really be? I'm thinking something like this 👇🏻

Until Next Time...
Make sure you check out future posts! If we come to any decisions we will include the how, why, and what for!
Oh, and here's a meme to wrap it all up.
